Two Days Trip Argolida & Olympia



First Day :  Starting from Athens - driving along the coastal highway towards Peloponissos - famous Canal of Corinthos (through Isthmus connects the Corinthian Gulf with the Saronic Gulf) - Ancient Corinthos (Temple of Apollo, Theatre, Roman Odeon, Glauke fountain, Vema/Tribunal of St. Paul, Archaeological Museum) - Mycenae / Kingdom of Agamemnon (Lions' Gate, Treasure of Atreus / Agamemnon Grave, Subterranenan Cistern, Archaeological Museum) - Nafplio / first capital of Greece (romantic seaport with picturesque streets and old classical buildings, famous Bourtzi castle in the middle of the harbour, Palamidi fortress) - Ancient Epidaurus (Sanctuary of Asklepios, Ancient Theatre famous for its acoustic, Archaeological Museum) - driving through Mount Mainalon - passing via traditional villages (Levidi, Lagadia, e.t.c) - arriving to Ancient Olympia (birthplace of the Olympic Games) - Dinner and overnight in a charmy family run hotel.


Second Day :  Starting in the morning after breakfast - visit of the archaeological area of Ancient Olympia (Temple of Zeus, Temple of Hera, Philipeion,  Palestra, Ancient Stadium, Ancient Gymnasium, Prytaneion, Bouleuterion, Leonidaion) - visit of the archaeological Museum - visit in a local winery (experience fine greek wines) - driving back towards Athens through the cities of Pyrgos and Patra - late afternoon arriving to Athens.
